... to all those publishers who began using licensed ScriptX with IE 4.01 way back in 1999. Most of you are still licensees today, part of a customer base that has grown exponentially over the twelve years since. We truly value your business, and will continue to work hard to support you all.
And thank you too to the many, many millions of computer users who have allowed ScriptX onto their PCs over the years. We hope that we have rewarded you with consistent and trouble-free printing from your browsers.
In 2009 we were pleased to be able to synch the delivery of ScriptX version 6.5 with the release of Internet Explorer 8.0, Microsoft's most standards-compliant version of IE to date. Today ScriptX ranks as one of the most ubiquitous and successful corporate add-ons for IE, and for that we must also thank those members of the IE team - past and present - who understand & respect 3rd party ISVs and the importance of the compat story. You guys may be in the minority, but you are *so* smart!
Version 6.5.439.72 (released in early-August 2010) has been extensively - and exhaustively! - tested on every combintaion of browser and Windows OS from IE6 on Windows 2000 to IE8 on Windows 7 RC and early previews of IE9 (we also maintain a version of ScriptX for 'legacy' Windows versions here), and we're happy that all licensed functionality works consistently and exactly as described across them all.
With powerful cost-options such as RAW printing, an .msi-based Corporate Resource Kit, and HTML text and images in headers and footers via our MaxiPT custom print template, this has to be our best release ever!
New visitors can evaluate this build by running any of the samples linked from here.
Exisiting licensees are strongly encouraged to update to the new version by grabbing the developers' Client Resource Kit from here.
